Chhatarpur has quietly become one of the best places in Delhi to shop for designer and bridal wear. The stretch around 100 Feet Road and Dhan Mill holds a large number of designer stores within a short distance of each other, which means you can see a lot in a day without driving across the city.
This is a guide to doing that well: when to go, how long to budget, what to carry, and how to spend a day here without wearing yourself out before the shopping is done.
Do you need an appointment?

Booking ahead does get you one thing that matters on a busy day: a dedicated stylist for your visit, rather than sharing attention with the floor. If you are coming for bridal, or you know your date and your budget, it is worth messaging ahead so someone is set aside for you and pieces in your size are ready when you arrive.
Other stores in the area vary. Some are walk-in, some are appointment-only, especially for bridal. If there is a specific label you have travelled for, check before you go so you are not turned away at the door.
Parking and getting there
There is plenty of parking around the store, which is not something you can say for most of shopping Delhi. That alone makes a day here easier than the equivalent in a mall or a crowded market.
The nearest metro is Chhattarpur Metro Station on the Yellow Line. From there it is a short auto-rickshaw ride to 100 Feet Road.
How long a visit actually takes
Budget 30 minutes to an hour per store for occasionwear, and closer to an hour for bridal, where you are trying heavier pieces and talking through customisation.
That maths matters when you plan the day. Brides routinely think they will cover six or seven stores and end up doing three properly, because a real bridal trial is not a quick look. Three stores done well beats seven done in a rush, and you will remember the pieces better.
If you are shopping for a full trousseau rather than one outfit, plan across two visits rather than one marathon. Decision fatigue is real, and the lehenga you settle on at 7pm after five stores is rarely the one you would have chosen fresh.
What to bring to a trial
A few things make every fitting go better:
The heels you plan to wear, or ones the same height. Lehenga and saree lengths are set to your height plus your heel. Trying pieces in flats and buying for heels is the most common cause of a hem that is wrong later.
Suitable inner wear for trying fitted blouses and corsets.
Reference images of what you have in mind. A photo settles in ten seconds what a description takes ten minutes to circle around.
The person whose opinion you actually trust. One, not five. A large group with strong opinions is the fastest way to leave a store having decided nothing.
Budgeting across the trousseau
If you are shopping for a whole wedding rather than one event, decide roughly how the budget splits before you walk into the first store — bridal lehenga, reception, cocktail, sangeet, the smaller functions.
Brides who do this hold their line. Brides who do not tend to spend the biggest share on the first beautiful thing they see, then feel squeezed on everything after. Knowing your bridal number before you start also lets a store tell you honestly, within a minute, whether you are in the right place — which saves the whole appointment.
